The descendants of Jacob Lindegaard in Spain and France

Jacob Lindegaard settled and married in Andalucia, Spain.  His son Pedro Enrique Lindegaard Caraballo became a pastor and eventually moved to Madrid, marrying Adela Diaz Yepes.  During the civil war Pedro Enrique sought refuge with his family in Barcelona.  Jacques Delpech, a French pastor who had been helping Spanish protestants, long-persecuted in Catholic Spain, came to Barcelona to convince and assist the family to relocate to France.

This is where Jacob Lindegaard was buried in 1889. But for those who would like to visit his grave, the story is more complicated. For that story, click here or, for a downloadable pdf, here.

Pedro Enrique and his family resettled in Clairac, France, during the Spanish civil war. While there, they lived in an old dilapidated house called "La maison du Fort". Click here for that story, written in French.
